The weakest lock you own

The flimsiest lock in your home is on a window.

The little latch that came on your sliding window was built to keep it from drifting open, not to stop someone determined. Many sliding panels can even be lifted clear of the track from outside without touching the latch at all.

A dedicated track lock fixes both problems. It clamps to the track so the panel cannot slide and cannot be lifted free, and you can set it to lock fully shut or at a few inches for air.

A window is only as strong as the latch on it, and most latches are an afterthought.
