One smart sensor on the front door does nothing for the back one.
A burglar tries the easiest way in, not the one you happened to protect. Side doors, sliding patio doors, and ground-floor windows get skipped because covering each one felt expensive. So they stay open and quiet.
These contact alarms are cheap on purpose, so saying yes to a fourth entry point is easy. Each one is a two-piece magnet: one half on the frame, one on the door or window. Break that contact and the buzzer goes off loud enough to be heard across the house and out the window.
The cheapest way to protect an entry point is the one you actually put on it.

Line the two pieces up so they touch when the door or window is closed, then flip the switch to ON. As long as the halves stay together it stays silent, and the instant the gap opens past about half an inch it sounds.
There is nothing to connect and nothing to charge. It runs on the included button batteries, with an LED that warns you when they finally run low, usually about a year out.
