Most alarms wait until someone's already at the door. This one doesn't.
A door sensor tells you when the door moves. A camera tells you after the fact, if you happen to look. Neither gives you the thing that actually helps: a few seconds of warning while someone is still out in the open.
That gap matters most on a long approach. A driveway, a deep porch, a side gate, a detached entry. By the time a knock lands, you've lost the chance to look up, check the window, or simply not open the door.
The warning you want isn't at the door. It's the twenty feet before it.

The PIR sensor is weather-resistant and battery-powered, so it goes where there's no outlet: the gate post, the porch beam, the end of the drive.

Place the sensors
Mount them 1-3ft off the ground, angled across the path people walk, not straight at the road. Two sensors cover two approaches.
