A small key locks the arm down when you want it to stay put, which matters on a ground-floor window someone could reach through a vent gap. Two locks come in a pack, about 51 g each with their screws, so one pack covers a pair of hinged windows or one set of French doors. If your windows slide sideways or lift up and down, this isn’t the one to buy. A clamp lock holds those and goes on without a screwdriver.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eOne honest note. A jammer holds the sash shut. It does nothing about the pane, and a hinged window is mostly pane.
